El Canal Art Collection
The new art series is inspired by my work as a Disaster Service Worker in the county of Marin during the time of Covid. One of the hardest hit areas was the Canal District which is a tiny community adjacent to the San Francisco Bay in San Rafael. This is the invisible part of Marin where the majority of essential workers live - the grocers, the landscapers, the construction workers, the cooks, and the housekeepers. Each day as I delivered supplies and food bank donations to those in quarantine or helped people sign up for their vaccinations, I particularly found this part...
The Shop's Grand Opening
Squirrel Highway Studios is getting ready to open its Shop and roll-out the Wanderland collection. It is a series that captures quiet moments of wander across San Francisco city streets. The Shop will showcase and sell four selected prints that are hand carved and hand pressed linocut blocks. Each one is signed with the set number of prints in this edition. Electric Lines, a project of Squirrel Highway Studios, is also publishing its first zine releasing on March 1. Art show and reception coming soon.
